Once upon a time, a young couple met on a dating app. Intrigued by the opportunity to get to know each other, they decided to meet at a stylish tavern in Addison, Texas: Neighborhood Services. The two young people instantly connected and spent 4 hours talking over dinner.
Meet Priscilla and John Simmons.
Their story reads like a modern fairy tale. There’s technology involved, great food, common ground, and a spark. Priscilla and John were married in a beautiful, traditional Catholic wedding mass at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch, Texas. The reception was held at the Royal Affairs Ballroom in Old Town Lewisville, just a 20-minute trolley ride.

The bride wore a gorgeous gown from Wear Your Love. The beautiful couple planned a delightful and engaging wedding and reception. The photos show they were excited to celebrate their lives and future together.
What do Priscilla and John love about each other?
“The one word that describes John to me is steady, and that steadiness in love and action made me fall in love with him. I can trust him wholeheartedly and without question. He’s just an amazing guy and now an amazing father!” said Priscilla.
John sees his bride as the ultimate encourager.
“Priscilla was the only person to truly help me peel back all the layers of the onion. She has consistently helped me to become a better man and has encouraged me to do so since the day we met. She has the kindest heart of anyone I know and is an amazing mom to our three children,” said John.
John proposed after he purchased their home and “popped the question in the backyard.” What a special place to come home to after the wedding!

The reception was held at the Royal Affairs Ballroom indoors. The weather was beautiful for photos taken on the Rooftop. It was lovely, but cold. The ballroom was decorated in olive green and antique gold to create a vintage feel throughout the space. Guests were given a vintage key that can also be used as a bottle opener as a parting gift. “The key to happiness is love” is the message that was included. The vintage key was a fun memento to add to a keychain or display at home so that guests will always remember the special wedding and spectacular reception of John & Priscilla.

Irene’s Bakery created the beautiful, vintage-inspired wedding cake as well as the over-the-top, Aggie ring, groom’s cake. Irene’s Bakery never disappoints, and these two cakes were beautiful and delicious. “I loved that there were other vendors close by and that we could make the already beautiful ballroom fit our style,” said Priscilla.

Kaitlyn Bullard, the DFW photographer behind The Big and Bright captured the event perfectly. Her attention to detail and anticipation of moments was precise and created the stunning images to enjoy for years to come.
Priscilla and John worked closely with the venue managers at Royal Affairs to ensure that every detail was exactly what they dreamed of for their special day. “They were amazing. Great communication, very accommodating, and just overall made the planning easier for me!” said Priscilla.
Planning a wedding can be a stressful event, but Priscilla and John Simmons made it look easy and fun. Their wedding album tells a story of joy, peace, and love that is reflected on their faces. “I was exhausted but on cloud 9. We were so happy,” said Priscilla.
